Transformations III

Ocean

i lifted my little brother i was proud
mother was seeing ghosts and
crawling along the floor she
said they were from the future
a pressure moved inside my head
like a snake
waves were moving across the sky
mother didn’t know where she was she saw lights she
phoned the police they
sniffed around outside like hounds
the night rolled over its belly
was white
